Play'n Go and Bet365 Receive Gambling License In Greece

Bet365 and Play’n Go have become one of the initial brands to receive operator licenses from the Hellenic Gaming Commission (EEEP) under the recent Greek regulatory rules.

Bet365 partners with Betsson to receive an operating license in Greek after the Swedish company announced receiving approval for both betting and gambling services.

Meanwhile, Play’n Go is the first and foremost supplier to receive the license under the new regulatory system.

However, there are certain strict operating conditions under the new regulatory system that casino operators have to abide by to keep functioning smoothly.

Online slots that were earlier banned by the regulation are now capped at €2 per spin and should have at least a three-second spin and the maximum cap for the slot is €70,000 each round.

The gross gaming revenue tax for all operating operators is 35% under the new regulatory system.

Magnus Olsson, Head of Sales and Account Management for Play’n Go said, “Regulatory changes are the constant in the global gaming industry, and we always welcome the new clarity provided by the Hellenic Gaming Commission in their latest regulatory framework. ”

He adds, “We will now work closely with our partners to ensure that their Greek operations are compliant with the new regulatory system. ”

Olsson claims the supplier’s ability to amend its services as per the new and upcoming regulatory rules makes it stand out in the market.

He said, “We take immense pride in our game collection. But we also love to bring more to the table too.”

He continues, “The rigor in our approach to both game development and compliance ensures that our partners can rely on us to deliver entertaining content that is ready for all of their players to enjoy from the first day of global release across multiple markets.”

He exclaims, “But to truly enjoy a gaming experience, players must feel safe. And that’s why we’re only too happy to tailor our titles to ensure they comply with all local rules with all the local rules in the regulated market all over the world.”

The new Greek license system opened in October last year after the country’s parliament passed the gambling reform bill in 2019.
